The All India Engineering, Pharmacy and Architectural Entrance Exam (AIEEE) was introduced in May 2002 for admission to engineering, pharmacy & architecture courses. Admissions to some of the prestigious Institutes like the National Institutes of Technology, Deemed Universities like Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Ranchi also fall under the purview of the AIEEE.
In content, form and style, the AIEEE and the require an altogether different orientation towards studies. These exams are designed to test the students understanding of fundamental concepts rather than their ability to memorize and replicate the subject matter. Therefore, the learning process and teaching techniques differ substantially as compared to those required for Std. XI or Std. XII.
To succeed at the AIEEE one requires a thorough understanding of concepts in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and the ability to solve objective type problems with accuracy and speed. There are several methods of solving a problem-however, the shortest possible method has to be used to solve the problem quickly without compromising on accuracy.
