REQUIRED A PRINCIPAL TO MOULD CHILDREN FROM THE QUARRY.
The Banyan Community School was set up in 2009 to provide much-needed education to children whose parents work in stone quarries. Today there are more than 350 children in the school which runs from Grades 1 to 9. Of these 350 children, close to 110 come from orphanages. We provide our children with education, nutrition, healthcare as well as working with the families and the communities to ensure that they come to school regularly and are given a nurturing environment at home. We plan to take our children all the way through school, college and then prepare them for work life. Only then would we have truly completed the cycle of transformation.
Our aim is to help these children get a quality of education that will enable them to live a life on their own terms and not be handicapped by their current backgrounds. We want to manage Banyan Community School as an oasis of learning that is imparted with great love and care. We want our children to excel not just in academics but also sport, art, music etc. Our children must have a sense of deep wonder and curiosity of their world and be good listeners. And even though they come from extreme deprivation, their sensitivity to our environment and the way they live must be alive and heightened.
To make this a reality we are looking for a live wire Principal with passion and at least 8 years of experience in providing quality education. We are looking for someone who will experiment and think out of the box and be able to inspire a team of teachers to deliver our objectives. You must also have the required educational qualifications for the position. We will provide a fair salary and benefits package. However the real motivator for working with us should be a deep interest in transforming the lives of these children.
