Experience Design organization in Adobe is looking for a Design Manager who can bridge the relationship between creative staff and management. The manager will be in charge of design teams and oversee strategic design projects . The person will drive and foster innovation within the department. S(He) will lead and manage the Design Teams and ensure delivery of a large portfolio of projects from initial vision to development and successful delivery. We are looking for a design manager who can understand the abilities of the creative team and who can guide and motivate the team to achieve excellence. This person must be both creative and have strong management skills.
What youll do
Leads user experience team to constantly provide guidance and direction to improve interaction designs and to achieve and exceed business goals
Leads the charge and be hands on in the creation of beautiful and intuitive responsive designs across multiple products and platforms
Develops strategic organizational policies and provides clear communication to a variety of stakeholders within the organization
Partners with cross functional teams to envision and drive the overall user experience of our product offerings
Responsible for selecting the appropriate designers for the work and schedules people's time and juggles multiple projects at once
Works with design directors and other staff to establish initiatives for the design team
Reviews feedback and provide suggestions to the design team to ensure design quality and design directives are followed
Oversees the day-to-day operations in the design department, communicates information to the team, delegates and reviews team member assignments
Helps ensure projects are profitable, and is constantly learning about new design practices and marketplace trends
Conducts performance assessments, provides timely feedback to the team
Mentors, guides and motivates team members to achieve goals
Takes a lead role in developing and execution of user research and user experience plans
Builds strong design teams by hiring and retaining top talent
Works on issues where analysis of situation or project requires review of relevant factors and exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action .
