"BackgroundShell IT Project Managers are responsible for establishing and leading business-critical IT projects with the ultimate goal of ensuring that the projects deliver the expected business benefits and value. Many Shell IT projects are enterprise-wide, cross-functional, strategic initiatives that provide broad career exposure. This PM position will be responsible for leading projects in the GF DV HRIT business which includes delivery of global projects to implement or replace applications supporting HR system.This PM position resides in the Global Functions HRIT business.The PM will work with Business Analysts to determine scope and requirements and to determine the approach for the incremental delivery of project releases and enhancements according to IT roadmaps that are agreed with stakeholders such as portfolio managers and architects, as well as business user communities.Responsibilities Manage projects meeting objectives and targets. Projects will be conducted in a virtual environment with project resources, stakeholders and involved business partners in different locations and times zones. Active stakeholder management for stakeholders related to projects or the related portfolio Ensure compliance with internal controls stemming from Shellâ€™s internal delivery framework but also from IRM, Finance and HR. Manage resources assigned to projects and actively involve oneself in all activities that aim to improve the line and function Ensure successful delivery of business change together with the business partners involved Participate in project assurance reviews. Understanding the importance and value of information and data and ensuring that solutions enforce data quality standards, enable efficient and effective data management, and provide quality information to users. Staying informed about new IT developments in the marketplace. Requirements Position, Skills Experienceâ€¢ Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing full lifecycle projects.â€¢ Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of business and IT stakeholders.â€¢ Ability to lead or work as part of an extended virtual team.â€¢ Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.â€¢ Ability to self-start and direct efforts based on high-level business objectives.â€¢ Ability to act as subject matter expert.â€¢ Ability to influence and build a shared vision.â€¢ Good understanding of system development lifecycle methodology.â€¢ Good understanding of software testing cycles, tools and methods.â€¢ Good understanding of Business Change Managementâ€¢ Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including LEAN.â€¢ Familiar with Finance business processes.â€¢ Knowledge of IT security and compliance requirements.Domain Specificâ€¢ Project Management certification is required. Although Shell has a preference for PMI-PMP certification, this is not a pre-requisiteâ€¢ Experience managing SAP HR projects would be beneficial"
