"Shell is building an IT hub in Bangalore to accelerate the adoption of cloud technologies such as PaaS, IaaS and SaaS within various Shell businesses to improve our competitive advantage.To enable this adoption, Shell will be setting up a Cloud Knowledge Center (CKC) in Bangalore. CKC will drive adoption of cloud technologies and services, in line with agreed roadmaps through: Expert guidance to delivery verticals / ITSO Portfolio Management on successful Cloud solution designs, build and operations Development and maintenance of Cloud standards and models in partnership with Functional Excellence, Architecture, IRM, Delivery Verticals, and Operations teams Ever greening the knowledge base through the use of external and internal expertise The Cloud Knowledge Center manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of cloud experts that will: Serve as internal SMEs on all aspects of cloud uptake with Shell businesses to help accelerate cloud adoption Drive pilots / prototypes of new cloud based technologies to validate suitability for Shell IT landscapes Define best practices / architecture standards for cloud Adopt and guide on agile methods (operations, development, innovation) Coach and educate various stakeholders within Shell ecosystem, such as solution architects, application developers, operations, etc. Enable automation as much as and where possible Explore new tools and techniques in the cloud space Evangelize new features / trends / functionality to wider stakeholder community Overall: Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with Architecture, IRM, DV Portfolio Management. Build, lead and grow a high performing team of strong technical experts agile delivery experts Work with stakeholders across multiple business units to improve cloud adoption by enabling greater migration of application workloads to the cloud Identify and enable Cloud Knowledge Center change management / communication plans for most things related to the cloud environment across Shell, with a few exceptions Establish Cloud Knowledge Centre: Lead the development and establishment of the Cloud Knowledge Centre. This phase will include: Define, Socialize and finalize team charter Define and implement organization structure and key roles Define s needed and build proposal to resource (internal and external Subject Matter Experts) Establish accountabilities, governance structures, etc. (RACI Matrix) Define interface points with key stakeholders within all Business units Establish a change management plan Establish Architecture Operational best practices: Design templates Access management rules Automation tools / Infrastructure as a code Monitoring / reporting / auditing capability Best practices for Devops Other related activities Dimensions: Improve cloud adoption rate Increase agility in cloud migrations Influence portfolio roadmap choice-points to minimize technical debt through informed expertise Operate in a global environment This role will strongly interface with other cloud teams such as Architects, Operations, Project Delivery, Governance, etc. Start with managing a team of 4-5 subject matter experts, expanding over a period of time to bigger team, as business needs grow. Requirements Experience Qualifications: Mandatory: Job Knowledge Requirements Knowledge of cloud computing services in the global market, how other large enterprises are consuming them, operationalizing cloud services, the differences in interface points, and accountabilities compared with traditional IT service delivery. Prior experience in setting up or interfacing with Cloud Knowledge Center(s) at other large enterprises is a must. Knowledge of Cloud IT architecture best practices Knowledge of SCRUM and agile delivery practices Necessary skill set across multiple cloud platforms. Initially: â€¢ Microsoft Azure â€¢ Amazon Web Services (in a public cloud context) Job Experience Requirements â€¢ Extensive experience of managing / architecting / deploying large scale IT services within global enterprises â€¢ Substantial experience in the cloud in one or more of the following areas: Architecture, Service Delivery, Enablement, Software Development. â€¢ Considerable experience with 2 or more of the following Cloud services: AWS, Azure or Force.com â€¢ Proven experience in large scale migration of workloads from on premise to cloud platforms is a Must. â€¢ Substantial experience in building and leading high performance teams â€¢ Recent and relevant experience on enabling one or more cloud platforms â€¢ Proven ability to effect changes and adapt to innovative and disruptive technologies. â€¢ Proven ability to remain current on rapidly evolving market capabilities and make the connection between technical opportunities and business needs."
